Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival in Paro - Gateway to Bhutanese Heritage
    • Morning: Land in Paro and start with a visit to the National Museum, housed in an ancient watchtower. This museum provides an excellent introduction to Bhutan’s history, culture, and natural heritage.
    • Afternoon: Explore Paro Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery that serves as a classic example of Bhutanese architecture and a central monastic body. The dzong’s intricate woodwork and spiritual ambiance are a testament to Bhutanese craftsmanship.
  • Day 2: Paro to Thimphu - The Capital’s Charm
    • Morning: Drive to Thimphu, the capital city, blending traditional Bhutanese culture with the signs of modernity. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to world peace and prosperity, and a focal point for daily religious gatherings.
    • Afternoon: Explore Tashichho Dzong, the beautiful fortress that houses the throne room and offices of the King of Bhutan. Then, visit the giant Buddha Dordenma Statue, one of the largest Buddha rupas in the world, overlooking the Thimphu valley.
